Various 2008 events that the GLAPBTA members have been involved or will be involved with:

Unfortunately, at this time the GLAPBTA membership is closed till final approval from the UKC is granted.
Some of the other things that we're currently working on:
- Training of APBT's that are in Rescues and Foster Homes across Michigan "FREE"
- Working at various Shelters across Michigan "FREE"
- Discounts at Numerous Training Centers in Michigan for APBT's ..
- Offering Free Training Classes in Basic Manners and Obedience
We feel a trained and structured dog, is a happy dog. By working with Rescues, Shelters, and various training centers across Michigan, we're hoping we can reduce the current number of dogs in these places, or that could end up in one.

BSL ALERTS

Motion by Johnson, supported by Reeves
RESOLVED that Council grants introduction of Ordinance 167-A-5-1, an Ordinance
to amend Chapter 18, Article II, Sections 18-42 and 18-43 of the Westland City
Code to eliminate breed specific designations for vicious and dangerous dogs,
allow for vicious and dangerous dogs to be identified via micro-chipping, and
add requirements for transporting vicious or dangerous dogs.
Unanimously carried.
